Iridiscent ¿vase?
« on: September 28, 2013, 12:49:54 PM »
                      [4] My Enigmas Favorites [4]
This piece is unique in my collection, is quite rare for me:
I think there is not a simple vase. The top, mouth, just a hasty, as if missing something ....

   What do you think? Any ideas?

* Height = 21 cm.
   width = 8 cm. and 11 cm. in diameter.

Esta pieza, única en mi colección,  tiene bastante de raro para mi:
Pienso que no es un simple jarrón. La parte superior, la boca, acaba de una forma precipitada, como si faltara algo....

  ¿que pensais?  ¿alguna idea?

* altura= 21 cm.
  ancho=   8 cm. y 11 cm. de diámetro.

just bumping this as it's disappeared down the page a bit.
Your photos are difficult to 'see' because of the iridescence I think.
Is the tall pull actually purple glass?  It looks black in some of the pics but then purple at the top in one.
Is it possible to have plain pics  please of the piece side on lit from the front to show the colours and against a white background?
It maybe the glass itself but some of the pics blur out the mottled effect of the pale yellow and it's hard to see whether or not or how spattered it is with spots.
Maybe it was a lampbase?  the rim does look quite rough compared to the body shape and decor.
Is there any wear on the base?
