lobed goblets, help with partial label
« on: October 05, 2013, 06:41:04 PM »
Hello All,

i've recently acquired these two delicate wine glasses.  They remind me of Jungendstil glass, but they are modern as one has the remnant of a clear plastic label on the foot.  The eight lobed bowls are clear and the stems are a pale, pale lilac or purple. They are 7 1/2" tall with a rim dia. of 4 1/4" and a foot dia. of 3".

After much examination with a magnifying glass, I have reproduced what is on the bit of label left on the foot.  I believe it may have originally said: handcrafted in Italy ("Italy" is at the bottom now only readable in the light at a n angle as the original gold has been worn off), Danish (or possibly Finnish) design.  I thought perhaps these could be a Dansk product, but there seems to be no indication that "Dansk" was on the label.

Any ideas?

Thanks for looking,
Adair
