Could this be Galle?
« on: October 26, 2013, 09:41:27 PM »
Hi All,

Was hoping to find out a little more about this glass vase. It is approx. 11.5 inches in height amd is marked on the base (etched) E Galle Nancy.

I know that it is a longshot that this is real Galle glass but would like to get your opinions.

Thank you
Eric

Looks legit. The enameled inscription "I am worker of happiness" is typical of Galle enameled motto glass - so not the industrial period after his death. It is worth taking it to a reputable auction house or Gallé expert to have it checked out - because this is where a photograph cannot replace a hands-on feel of the item.
