Glass repairs??
« on: October 20, 2013, 08:51:09 PM »
Is it possible to get glass repaired economically ? I have a lovely Flint glass 'Dolphin' vase lozenge mark for 29th July 1874 made by Percival, Vickers Co reg Design no 284031 which was very badly packed and arrived broken. It's such a shame and was just wondering how you would go about it  :) I have all the pieces and I have put it together temporarily  :(

This might be one of those cases where you could use Loctite Glass Bond glue, Angela., It sets quickly under UV / sunlight and can't be seen with the naked eye. I've used it with some bits and it worked a treat. It's widely available and not expensive.
