I went up to London last week and spent some of the time in the V&A mostly to photograph some glass close up and check out a few pieces.
This chandelier has been installed as you enter the front entrance from the main steps.  It drops the entire height of the V&A and is absolutely spectacularly amazing - 30metres drop

Obviously the Chihuly is also fantabulous :)

whilst I'm not heavily into this modernist abstract dangling stuff m, I do agree they are colourful and spectacular.            Was in the glass gallery in the past few weeks and frankly so much to drool over, I never quite know where to start......plus I can get there and back gratis, but do have to buy a coffee if I don't take my own.                     If anyone hasn't been, it really is worth a visit, especially the restaurant with the amazing wall tiles - it's said they have the best ceramics and glass collection in the world - and entry is free.

yes, I only get to visit once a year but I love it because there's something about being able to see the glass really close up even though you can't handle it.  I always come away thinking 'ooh, I'll buy one of those if I see one now', having previously not realised how superb they actually are in real life.
