Topic: any thoughts on the maker of this commemorative piece? ID = Whitefriars

Faceted paperweight to commemerate the 50th anniversary of the glass manufacturers federation. any thoughts on who may have made it? it reminds me of Webb maybe?

This is Whitefriars. They did very few clear glass engraved weights (unlike Webb Corbett as you suggested).  They also did a 1972 Munich Olympics and a Royal Silver Wedding.  I have examples of all three and they are all very similar in size and weight.

Thank you Martin, my initial thought was Whitefriars but thought it a little plain?
Also it is etched number 142 on the base rim any chance of a photo of the other 2

I should have asked if it was numbered. That is how Whitefriars usually did the clear weights - with a number engraved on the outer edge of the base.  I will try and get some photos up over the weekend.  Might even be sooner if I can find them tonight!

Thanks, interested to see a photo of the wedding one think I know where there is one, but again presumed these were Webb.
