Topic: possible Webb's amber uranium vase.

first thoughts were T/Webb's Gay Glass amber sunshine, but according to the books amber sunshine (uranium) appears not to have been offered in this pattern.                   However, having now looked again in Hajdamach's 'C20 Glass', this surface decoration seems to be very like 'Fir Cone' -see page 54 plate 102.             Obviously, unmarked, and I've not seen the pattern on any Webb's before.                    Good quality pontil depression, plenty of wear, and a good long ring.               Age wise I'd suggest pre 1940.     Height is about 6.3/8" (165mm).

Do people know if this pattern is T/Webb definitely, or am I stretching the imagination  -  thanks for looking.

Looks good to me. Sunshine amber was used outside the Gay glass range - that was just a marketing campaign

many thanks for looking  -  it does seem to be a good contender for T/Webb -  it was just that I'd not see this pattern before, either in the books or in the flesh.
It occurs to me now that you're right about the more widespread use of uranium amber  -  it's used in some of the bull's eye pieces - and I'd forgotten that.
this is an attractive patterning.
