Mdina vase? ID = Mdina, design "Earthtones"
« on: December 09, 2013, 01:32:56 PM »
We have a vase which I am pretty sure has "mdina 01" on the base.  My mother has had it for many years so it must be a fairly early example??  Can anyone confirm this for us please?  A guide to value would also be very useful!!
Thanks

I suspect the 01 might refer to 2001.
This is Mdina, but not an early piece. The design is called Earthtones, and has been in production almost from the very start - as soon as they did anything that was actually a production range.
Earthtones does have several styles of execution - this looks like a later example, and may well have had a plastic label on it.

For a guide to value, your best bet would be to look for similar on auction sites, and see what it goes for. I'm afraid probably not a great deal, as it isn't an early bit, but it is still a highly attractive thing.
