From your comment I have to ask whether the photo you posted is your own, or that of an auction site. If it is not your photo, and you do not have permission to use it here, we will have to remove it as per the Board policy on use of copyright images. Generally, for items at auction, if there is an online link, then that should be provided rather than copying images.

This is a picture which has been sent to me by a dealer of antiques and fine arts. So i don't own the murano but wanted some information on the same regarding authenticity and value as there is limited information about it on the web (or at least i could not find it).

The signature is 2 words. First starts with D and second with M. Second word could be muvaio or muraio.

There is a famous maker, Dino Martins, but I don't know if that is likely to be who made your piece.

It would help folk to help you if you would rub a little talcum powder over the engraved name, then rub the excess off with your thumb, before taking the picture - this helps to make it readable, and an image of the whole piece would probably help somebody who would be able to recognise the maker from the piece, rather than the signature.

If you have no talcum powder, a little fine flour would do nicely instead.

The second word is Murano I think.  The first word may be Desi.  Maybe it means designed in Murano.  You need a clearer photo.  Trying to get closer tends to defeat the purpose.  If yuo tak it from say 2 feet bak (60cms) the depth of field will keep it relatively sharp.  Notice how the rim bit is in sharp focus in your photo.  When you do get a sharp photo CROP it so only the signature shows and making sure it is < 125KB repost the clear signature.
