Large Art Deco blue glass geometric vase unsure of maker?
« on: January 12, 2014, 07:16:53 PM »
Hello all
I bought this vase recently and am not sure of a maker? It has clear glass panels of a ridged pattern on each side of the vase.
I wondered if anyone on here could shed any light please?
I thank you in advance
Nige

Hi Nige,

I can't be sure as I haven't seen it in a catalogue, but I'd suspect S. Reich for this one.
The design does remind me very much of a vase I used to own which was kindly identified by Marcus as Reich's number 8933: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,14486.msg92558.html#msg92558

Hi Stephen
Thanks so much for your reply.
That certainly looks very much like the same shape and measurements as this vase uncanny how they share the same shape.
I did myself wonder if it was French as it reminded me so much of other vases I had seen but looking at your pics it would be strange if it wasn't Reich.
I have a PDF file with the 1934 catalogue I will take a look.I have never seen any other catalogue pages of theirs have you?
Best wishes Nige
