Hey paperweight addicts, hope the new year has started well.
I have a pair of these high dome pinwheel flowers weights.
They're reminiscent of Fratelli Toso, but the Fratelli Toso blossoms are generally flat or serrated, and with a starfish pattern on the backs.
They're also similar to some Venetian pieces I've seen, but not quite.
I thought about some of the makers here in the States, but it's not really close to any of the large studios (Rice, Dunlavy, St. Clair, Gibson, Gentile, etc).
I found one matching piece online, on a German glass site, but it didn't say anything about country of origin or maker.
They are a little over 3" tall and 2 3/4" diameter. Bottoms are highly polished.
They really are lovely, the pinwheel effect on the simple round blossoms is very nice.
