Large art glass decanter ID help
« on: January 15, 2014, 02:55:36 AM »
I've searched and been unable to discover anything about this decanter on my own, so I thought I would seek the help of those more knowledgeable. I first thought Blenko, but the color is wrong, glass too thick, and it's not in any of the catalogs I could find. The decanter is a deep orange at the base and slowly turns to more of a yellow near the top. The stopper has both colors as well, though is not as thick of glass. You can see through the glass inside the decanter though not as easily as the stopper. It stands about 22" with stopper. The stopper is about 9" tall. The bottom has been ground to stand flat, has a hand blown pontil, and shows wear (I'm thinking might mean it has some age due to this). Greenwich Flint and Zeller were my other guesses, but I am unable to locate much on these companies to determine one way or another. Any help is greatly appreciated!
