Victorian?overshot crackle glass jug help please.
« on: November 03, 2014, 08:37:24 PM »
Large piece of glass i know nothing about, similar to a few recent posts i have put on here handle wise. I think it's crackle glass mixed with overshot glass, the pontil is hidden somewhere in the base but still sharp. Thick glass 4 mm thick with a nice ring to it.

10 3/4 inches in height, 5 1/2 inches across the base and 4 1/4 inches across the rim.

I think there is something similar in Gulliver but the base is bulbous, I can't believe it's survived with no damage it holds over 3 litres I'm wondering if it had a matching wash bowl and was used for that purpose?.
