Peachy-pink lidded pot with floral panels – ID, please?
« on: January 25, 2014, 05:39:32 PM »
Peachy-pink pressed glass lidded pot, the base 12x12cm and the whole standing 16cm tall.

The lid has four panels (each with a stylised floral sprig), reeded corners, and a flared  vertically-reeded knob. The base has diamond-checked panels enclosed by vertically- reeded corners (which extend downwards to form four small feet), the top rim is also vertically-reeded, and the flat base of the pot has a stylised floral sprig to match that on the lid panels .

(Permission for the re-use of these images on the GMB granted by Janet110684).

I presume that this would originally have been part of a trinket set but can’t recall seeing another lidded pot or other likely related pieces in this pattern.

Does anyone have photos to share of other trinket set pieces in the same distinctive pattern, please?

Any ideas as to attribution gratefully received.

Fred.

the lid is very much like the Walther 'Walpurgis' lidded pot but the base is different.

I note the similarities with the Walther Walpurgis pot, Angela.
