Chinese "Murano" glass
« on: February 14, 2014, 01:20:32 AM »
Has anyone ever posted a list of the more common faux Murano trade names?

For example Ann Primrose, that I'm assuming imports glass from China to Italy, and then ships from there, thus suddenly becoming an Italian company.

At least most Chinese good don't claim to be something else (at least here in the states) Prob. the biggest here is Dynasty Gallery, and Silvestri (which seems to be gone, but you find a lot in the secondary market).

The short answer, Bob, is: "No".

But we have seen names like "The Leonardo Collection" which was (and still is?) used by a UK importer, "Lesser & Pavey".

And "Royal Crest" is another common trading (or "collection") name.
