René Roubíček was undoubtedly a capital figure in Czech glass art. His designs were expressed in almost all techniques. This series (which we have called -GLOPITAL-blown in Borosilicate) they are pieces as fragile, abstract and whimsical as those of the contemporary and his friend Věra Lišková.

Sometimes Nature follows Art. Thus the pineapple that we can see in the greengrocers,
every day they look more like those of Koudelka.

The visual-plastic artist strives to find the divine <form>.
When he gets it she is adored.

Alchymie Praha was a business project of two young Americans: Raymond Berger and Alex Shapiro. They had the idea of producing a collection of Czech glass by contemporary authors [F. Vizner - V. Klein - and others younger or less known] in editions of 500 numbered and signed by their authors for marketing in the U.S.A. The company that started successfully in 2002 would end a few years later that way.

That day in November 1963 Rudolf Jurnikl in the Heřmanova Hut, tired of so many hardships,
 decided to tighten his belt.

Since 1988, the firm Karl Palda established in Nový Bor developed a wide catalog of glass in different styles according to fashions.
In the 30's of the 20th century, he firmly opted for Art-Deco, perhaps the highlight of his production. Some of his birds are proof of what we say.

1888 * (I correct the founding date of the Karl Palda factory). Here you can see my previous post dedicated to his "cubist" line.

If we take a look at František Pečený's designs for Hermanova Hu´t
as a whole, we are immersed with their sinuous, undulating and bubbling shapes in an ocean full of pearls.
