The grapes of the elixir [Kristal Poesie] are being distilled patiently.

In 1955 the whole of Škrdlovice came to a standstill, his colleagues silent and astonished as they watched František ZemeK's efforts to find three feet to the cat.

This “Jack in the pulpit” motif is recurrent for many glass firms,
but Loetz's are undoubtedly the most eloquent.

[ Thanks flying free ]

Whenever I look at this striking design(1992) by Zdenék Petr,
it inevitably brings to mind images of women wearing a <Spanish mantilla>…..
(Maybe it's cultural conditioning).

It was the norm in Škrdlovice to propose to its designers the creation of a chandelier.
Milena Velíšková took this request seriously.

After a decade of experimentation, in 1918 the Möser house would patent the technique of engraving painted in gold, fired and finally polished or patinated with color under the name <Oroplastic>. In the following decades, the intensely colored crystal pieces, also exclusive, adorned with a golden band, were among the most characteristic of the firm. From 1922 is the Fipop series, designed by Leo Möser, where some young Amazons, with a neoclassical appearance, parade in a circle on pieces of finely carved glass with geometric shapes closer to Art-Decó.

Posting for fontanazul ( Daniel Muriel . [Kristal Poesie] ) who is having problems uploading just now...

In 1972, the ÚBOK (Institute of Housing and Clothing Culture) established the <Inover> plan for the technical and aesthetic modernization of Czech glassworks. Consequently, young designers such as Vratislav Šotola, Pavel Hlava or Jiří Šuhájek began a long and successful collaboration with the Moser glassworks.

Again posting for fontanazul ( Daniel Muriel . [Kristal Poesie] ) ...

In this design by František Pečený (Heřmanova Huť # 20294 from 1976) of supposedly abstract shapes.
We perceive the presence of the Bull and the Moon in an explicit representation of ancient deities and mythologies.

The technique called “Pulegoso” supplies the vitreous mass with infinite and tiny bubbles that opaque it, giving it an ancient and almost primitive appearance. Apparently it was created (1920´s) by Napoleone Martinuzzi - Murano -.
It was in the former ČMS Reich Krásno glassworks that the young Emanuel Beránek and Milena Velíšková became familiar with this rare technique and later applied it to their designs for Škrdlovice.
