In 1932, a 19 year old František Halama founded his glass factory and set out to compete with Curt Chlevogt and Heinrich Hoffmann, the leading firms of the time,
by developing a line of products similar to their famous and successful "Ingrid" collections.
In 1948, with the arrival of the communist regime, his, like the rest of the factories, would be requisitioned and its owners retaliated.
In 1994, following the democratic change, and after a long and difficult struggle to recover the old original molds that had been dispersed,
the Halama family reestablished the factory and managed to reissue their old Art Deco designs.

En 1932 un joven de19 ańos – František Halama – funda su fáfrica de vidrio y se propone competir con  Curt Chlevogt o Heinrich Hoffmann,
las grandes casas del momento, siguiendo una línea de productos con parecidos a las afamadas y exitosas colecciones “Ingrid”de aquellos.
En 1948 con la llegada del régimen comunista, la suya como el resto de fábricas serían requisadas y sus propietarios represaliados.
En 1994 tras el cambio democrático, después de una larga y dificultosa lucha por recuperar los antiguos moldes originales que habían sido dispersados,
la familia Halama  pone en pie de nuevo la fábrica y logran reeditar sus antiguos diseńos Art Deco.

In 1989, Bořek Šípek, Petr Novotný and Libor Fafala teamed up to create a glass factory with an artistic and experimental vocation,
inviting established figures and young designers, among whom we highlight František Jungvirt.
In 2017, the glass factory became part of the LASVIT company.

 invitando a figuras consagradas y jóvenes diseńadores entre los que destacamos a František Jungvirt .

Karol HOLOŠKO
(1912-1978, Lednické Rovne)
He is considered the most important figure in Slovak design.
Trained in Argentina (1934-1946) in the arts, he worked at the Rigolleau glass factory.
Upon returning to his country, he joined the Lednické Rovne factory (now RONA) as a designer, eventually creating and directing its design department.
In collaboration with Jaroslav Taraba and engineer Vojtech Chmelik, they developed and patented (1956) the so-called "drawn stem" technique, which allows the stem and bowl of a glass to be produced from a single piece of material.

(1912-1978 ,  Lednické Rovne)
Es considerado la personalidad más relevante del diseńo Eslovaco.
Formado en Argentina (1934-1946) en Artes, trabajó en la cristaleria Rigolleau.
A la vuelta a su país se incorpora como diseńador en la factoría de Lednické Rovne ( hoy RONA) terminando por crear y dirigir su departamento de diseńo.
En colaboración con Jaroslav Taraba y el ingeniero Vojtech Chmelik desarrollan y patentan
(1956) la técnica llamada de “tallo estirado” que permite producir el cáliz y pié de una copa con una sola pieza de material

Carl Hosch
In 1864, he established his crystal factory on the main street of Haida=Nový Bor.
It soon became one of the largest and most prestigious factories in the region.
Initially, it specialized and distinguished itself in the production of lamps.
Little by little, it expanded its catalog, adapting to the trends and needs of an international clientele
(95% of its production was destined for export).
We have chosen this beautiful ear vase to represent the firm.

En 1864 estableció su fábrica de cristal en la calle principal de Haida=Nový Bor.
Pronto se convertiría en una de las factorías más grande y prestigiosa de la región.
En sus inicios se especializó y distinguió en la producción de lámparas de luz.
Poco a poco fue ampliando su catálogo adaptándose a las modas y necesidades de una clientela internacional
(el 95% de su producción estaba destinada a la exportación).
Nosotros hemos elegido este hermoso jarrón de orejas para representar la firma.

Sklarna Chřibská
Was founded in 1414 in the town of Chřibská, making it considered the oldest glassworks in Europe until its closure in 2007.
Josef Hospodka was chief designer for Borske Sklo and Chřibská for two long periods, between 1958 and 1970 and 1985 and 1989,
and is generally credited with creating the entire firm's production in the second half of the 20th century.
However, other designers also worked there during this period:
- Ludvika Smrčkova - Henryk Čeněk Adamczak - Emanuel Beránek - Karel Rybáček -
- Bohumil Čabla - Vladimir Jelínek - Josef Starosta - Karel Wünsch - František Janák -
- Eva Švestková - Zdena Jobová…
Here we highlight the figure of Josef Starosta, who designed numerous collections for the firm.
Sklarna Chřibská
fue fundada en 1414 en la ciudad de Chřibská, por lo que se considera la cristalería más antigua de Europa hasta su cierre en 2007
Josef Hospodka fue diseńador jefe de Borske Sklo y Chřibská en dos largos periodos, entre 1958–1970 y 1985-1989
y por lo general se le atribuye la autoría del conjunto de la producción de la firma en la segunda mitad del siglo 20.
Pero otros diseńadores también trabajaron allí en ese periodo:

František Zemek developed a long career in a short life (*).
Belonging to a family with a tradition in glassmaking, he began working in the industry at a very young age (Inwald), even before completing formal studies in Železný Brod and later at the Prague University of Applied Sciences.
He worked for numerous glass factories: Krásno / Hemanova Hut´/ Železný Brod / Škrdlovice / Moser / Mstišov / Karlovarské sklo / Valašské Meziříčí ….
Selected and awarded in successive international fairs: Milan Triennale / Expo. Brussels / Expo. Moscow (1957-58-59).
Among the numerous models he created, some became iconic, such as pattern #19867 for Hermanova Hut' or the RAPSODY collection for Mstišov, with its characteristic four colors: Green-Blue-Amber Yellow and Rosaline.
(*) At the age of 46, he suffered a terrible motorcycle accident on the way to the factory.
His charisma and tragic end associate him with famous figures such as James Dean or Lawrence of Arabia.

František  ZemeK desarrolló una larga carrera en una corta vida (*).
Perteneciente a una familia de tradición cristalera se inició en la industria a muy corta edad  (Inwald) antes incluso de realizar estudios reglados en Železný Brod y más tarde en la Escuela superior de Praga.
Trabajó para numerosas fábricas de cristal:Krásno / Hemanova Hut´/ Železný Brod / Škrdlovice / Moser / Mstišov / Karlovarské sklo / Valašské Meziříčí ….
Seleccionado y premiado en sucesivas ferias internacionales: Trienal de Milan / Expo. Bruselas / Expo. Moscú (1957-58-59).
De entre los numerosos modelos que creó algunos resultaron icónicos como el patrón #19867 para Hermanova Hut´o la colección RAPSODIA para Mstišov con sus característicos cuatro colores: Verde-Azul-Amarillo ámbar y Rosado.
(*) A la edad de 46 ańos sufrió un terrible accidente en su motocicleta camino a la fábrica.
Su carisma y trágico final lo asocian a célebres figuras como James Dean o Lawrence de Arabia.

In 1914, the Rudolfova Hut´ factory in Dubí na Teplice patented a type of glass that, when cooled in oil, offered great hardness, and named it DURIT.
In 1934, Rudolf Schöter designed this model, which, given its popularity and functionality, was produced until 1996 in transparent, white, green, blue, pink, and various sizes.
To this day, few Czechs don't feel nostalgic when looking at these familiar models from their first school breakfasts and snacks.
En 1914 la factoría Rudolfova Hut´ en Dubí na Teplice patentó un tipo de cristal que enfriado en aceite ofrecía una gran dureza y lo llamó DURIT.
En1934 Rudolf Schöter diseńó este modelo que fue producido, dada su popularidad y funcionalidad, hasta 1996 en colores transparentes, blancos, verdes, azules, rosas y en varios tamańos.
Al día de hoy son pocos los checos que no sienten nostalgia al contemplar estos modelos tan familiares en sus primeros desayunos y meriendas escolares.
