Deceptive Bowl? Glass
« on: March 01, 2014, 08:30:44 PM »
Ok so this is another charity shop 50p buy and really not sure about it at all. The glass has a lot of striations and some small inclusions and a slight pontil mark which would normally suggest age. However the glass seems very bright and clear and almost no signs of wear on the base. Not even sure if it is a deceptive bowl glass. Any help greatly appreciated. Dimensions are 9cm in height, 6.5cm across the bowl and 6cm across the base although this is not uniformly round and is only 5.5cm at the narrowest point.

Thanks

Roy
