Peter signs his work, others sign theirs.  I have a signed piece of Lane Rowe and I have a paperweight by Louis Thompson.

Sorry, thought that was clear from my original reply saying Peter signs his work.....

I have never seen a Peter Layton piece with any silver frogs etc.

That's the sort of rash thing I would say, but I've learnt that one should never say never! :-))

In the mid 1980's Peter Layton did some collaborative pieces with a jeweller, Margaret Turner.....

Not saying nuffink more as I am interested to hear what Peter says! Just wanted to put down my marker that I got there first :-))

When I sent an email asking for confirmation that it was Peter Layton it was confirmed in less than 1 minute , you cannot ask for more than that.

As to the indent in the top of the weight Sylvie was unable to answer this.

She has just sent me an email to say Peter will be in today and she will ask him and get back to me later today.

Roy
