Monart shape EH
« on: March 08, 2014, 12:37:45 PM »
This is my latest purchase, a large (12" wide) Monart shape EH, colour code 185.

The following description ( though mine is a different colour scheme) is from the book Ysart Glass page 80. " A beautiful piece of Monart as both decoration and proportions are pleasing. This bowl displays well from almost any angle and is superb when used as a centrepiece on a large table".

I have to agree, it's one of my favourite bowls.
The first image was taken with a flash, in attempt to show the gold aventurine.

Indeed nice. Weird reading ones old prose out of context, I miss that piece.
