Lavender purple art deco vase help please?
« on: March 12, 2014, 04:48:54 PM »
I posted one of these yesterday it was encased i think this one is slightly different in the way it's made it seems to have a very thin layer inside. I think this is Deco but i have never seen another anything Deco in this colour before. The last picture against the table is a true likeness, it has heavy wear to the base, it's 4 inches in height 2 1/2 inches across the rim and 2 3/4 inches across the base, i was going to tab it onto the post from yesterday but this might help others if they come across something in the future, regards Chris.

I think you'll find the orange one has a very thin layer inside it too. Hold it up to the light and you will probably see pinprick holes. I know my orange one has a purple sister...

I believe the interior is coloured by blowing a coloured bubble into a much larger clear bubble before final shaping in a mould
