I watched that as well  :o no bids from me though as waaay out of my league.  However, if that is what the vase looks like stood outside in the garden, then I'm sure it must look amazing when lit at night.  It is a really beautiful vase, forgetting rarity etc.  There are French 1920's/30's vases that are beautiful and sell for this kind of money.  Monart competes with those on all terms in my opinion, so I can't see why £3,000 seems so expensive ? (but as I said, way out of my league unfortunately  ;D )

The combed pieces with mica are fairly scarce, I thought, but not £3,000 scarce! My brother has some - I don't know how many though, but certainly a few.

This is an interesting thread!  I picked up something very similar to the vase under discussion at an antique shop last week.  If it is not worth £3000 what is it worth?  I will get pictures up asap and see if anyone agrees with me that it is similar :)
