Photos of examples of Sowerby pattern 1437, all bearing the appropriate registry date lozenge and the Sowerby peacock head trademark, to compare with the pattern book illustration and the RD 340005 design representation.

By the way, pattern book illustration for Sowerby pattern 1440 shows the body decorated with a raised ‘wire netting mesh’ pattern.

This is very similar to the decoration on the body of Sowerby pattern 1439, which also has stub feet and loop handles, but Sowerby pattern 1439 corresponds to RD 343730 (with lozenge for 2 December 1879 – Parcel 21).
