I think (IMHO) Sue is maybe a bit optimistic on the estimate of £450 to £500 at the present time.
The shape RA is one of the commonest shapes Monart produced, though on the plus side the type of decoration, known as herringbone and is a fairly rare type of decoration.
I believe it to be an early piece of Monart 1920's to 1939.
It is a piece I would happily have in my collection.

I did say try, to see if anybody bit,  but yes, prices are not what they once were (for anything, really) but this is a scarce and desirable pattern, even if it is a more common shape.

Sometimes if it's scarce, prices can reach nearly the prices they did in their hey-day, or there could be a bidding war, like the recent one!

It really is incredibly subjective.

IMHO it wouldn't sell at Elsecar at that price - the dearer stuff seems to stay there a long time.

stunning piece, and pattern goes well with the shape, id say it may surprise folk if put on ebay, very very nice

I reckon it would be worth the effort of putting it on ebay... it would find its own price quite happily, I think.

Thank you to everyone for your helpful replies  

I am going to Bruges for a couple of days ( a new man in my life is sweeping me off my feet and taking me to all sorts of places I have never been before )

When I get back I will think about how to manage getting it on ebay - I have a teenager, I am sure she will help

I do think you will be able to reach the right sort of big audience you need for this rather special vase on ebay.
