Any ideas about this? Age? Origin? Maker?

Thanks in advance!

Nice, I wonder if it could be from ZBS?

Hi John, I have seen this in person and it has a mark on the underside. Looks like two lines, but only one made it completely. Three initials, but not ZBS I do not think. The middle initial looked like maybe an N... but not sure.

Very nicely done piece.

Shannon is trying to get one. She was not even sure it was a mark until she and I met a couple of days ago and I looked at it with a loupe... I should have taken my camera with me, but did not think of it....

This is the best I have now. I will try to get a better one later!

As Craig discovered, the mark is actually two lines, but the second line did not quite make it onto the base.

Perhaps a sprinkle of talc and a gentle blow will help the definition?
