Paul Kemp Paperweight ?

Hi, a friend has this paperweight and asked if I knew anything. as far as I can go is a thread on here that I added a comment on. The sig and use of gold leaf looks like it's his. It has dimples either side. (He is currently tying to work out how to post on here). He has some interesting pieces. I can not find any more than the thread. Any clues guys ??

So far I have found a Paul Kemp who is now an Artist, a very good one from the few I saw, and have messaged him in the hope he can yea or nay this weight.
