The unravelling thread vase ID help please
« on: May 09, 2015, 07:29:18 AM »
I got this vase from a Charity Shop---it looked a bit different. It has a bit of water staining which might or might not suggest some age.
It looks as if it's been free-blown.
It's base is slightly concave, there's no discernible pontil mark---just a faint round bump.
The bright emerald green thread merges into the stem---finishing under the base.
I've seen roughly, very roughly, similar examples of threaded vases online by Kralik ,Steuben and
Stuart & sons; but none exactly the same.
It's height is 20cms
Any help re it's identity much appreciated
Scott

Hi---I've been told by someone, that the threading is more lime green than emerald green.
I don't want to mislead! Thanks
