Topic: Unsigned paperweight Id?

Hoping for any information about this type of glass paperweight.  Age? Country of Origin? How to describe it?  I am trying to find a similar one to purchase but have no idea how to describe  it or go about searching for one like it.

Hi there , looks Murano style with exceptionaly good flower heads. Can go back to the 1970s but not sure about this one because of the ground work within, there is normaly many bubbles as a groundwork.

I agree that the style is like examples produced in Murano and the Czech Republic for many years, but the canes used for the petals look to me more like modern Chinese ones.  If you go to alibaba.com and search for 'Murano Glass Paperweight' or similar you will find thousands of millefiori and other examples on offer, some fairly crude, some very well made.  I am not sure where this example comes from.

Mmmm, the petals are not the same as my old Murano which are more combined. The colours in the ground are very similar to early chinese colours. Perhaps its a combination of chinese/murano trading in canes, but fairly recently. Not a bad looking weight though.

John Gentile from West Virginia produced weights with this design but I don't recall seeing an unsigned one, they usually have some kind of design impressed in the base with a JG.

Sorry Jerry but I should have mentioned that Gentile used Murano canes in his weights which looked exactly like those in your weight

The problem is though there is no shot of the base of the eBay one so is it correctly attributed there?
