Topic: Is this Scottish glass? Help please

Hi All,

I picked up this wee bowl the other day, it has the look of a bit of Scottish glass but I was wondering if someone could confirm which one ( if indeed any!! ) The bowl is approx 12cm x 6cm  and has a flat base with a polished pontil mark.Pink to purple colour fade.

Sticking my neck out again, as I'm not a proper Monart person, just a fringe one, I reckon you're absolutley right, I think this is Monart.
Possibly pre-war, as it has a thin base and just the polished pontil mark. (I hope I'm learning.)

Well , that is indeed a lovely piece of Scottish glass 
Monart, most likely shape ZA, same colour way as my O shape bowl.

Ha, brilliant news I have always been a fan of this type of Scottish glass, but have always sold it on to fund my other glass bits ( Sue!! ) something about this bit though, it might be a keeper. Thanks both of you for your help again.

There are some of us who consider a love of Monart to be perfectly compatible with a love of Studio Glass, Nigel even gave a lecture in this subject at the Edinburgh conference. The only thing that excludes it is the offical date of the birth of the Studio Glass Movement.
But the Ysarts were doing "real" studio glass, much earlier.
