Ridged 'Primula' style small decanter/stoppered bottle.
« on: August 07, 2014, 07:29:00 PM »
Any ideas about this one would be more than welcome.  It has a polished pontil mark on the base where there is lots of age related wear. The stopper has a tie mark, but I can't find one on the neck of the bottle which has a pouring lip.  8" high in total.
It looks similar to Jacob Bang's 'Primula' tableware range, but this is clear glass, unlike Holmegaard's smokey colour range, so I think I can discount that one.

Not really sure what it would have been used for, but there is some clouding at the bottom, so may be it held alcohol, or vinegar at one time or other.
TIA  :)
