Topic: Vasart or Strathearn for show

Hi,

Just picked up this 3.75" high V029.
The glass is much finer than my other V029s or my V037s (Vasart and Strathearn ones) so I thought it was maybe a Vasart, but the colours seems to sit better with my Strathearn pieces.
 
The colour is applied in a speckly way, rather than blobby, again more like Strathearn, with quite a reasonable amount of coppery gold aventurine.

The base has a roughly ground pontil scar with a polished base with a concentric "ring" effect on it which is not quite like any or my other pieces.

It's the thinner glass that is throwing me a bit otherwise I would say definitely Strathearn.

Unless it's a fake "Monart miniature" but it's not the right shape for a Monart!! 

Has anyone any suggestions, theories, anything to add to this? 

I must admit the late Vasart / early Strathearn has me baffled at times.

I'd incline towards Strathearn, because of the colours. The quality of these small posy vases can vary a fair bit, some better than others, possibly because they were smaller, "bread and butter" pieces?

The speckly appearance might be related to their "Granite" way of doing pieces, perhaps?
