Does anyone recognise this marble effect lidded powder jar?

Hi,
I say powder jar but don't know if it is, though is the right size for one.
It has a smooth silky feel on the outside & a flat smooth base.
The inside is shiny.
It glows slightly with a UV torch, so i wondered if it could contain a bit of uranium or some other substance.
It looks greener than its come out in the photos.

If it glows "slightly" it's not uranium. A uranium glow is the same bright green no matter how much uranium. It's just not such a concentrated glow if there is less uranium. It's difficult to explain and much easier to demonstrate in person.

Correct that is a powder jar, I have several. They used to be popular in the 1920s and 30s and often satinated on the outside. These were made in Bohemia and in Germany a lot, but I have not yet managed to identify a single maker.  Quite possibly they were made in England, Italy and Belgium as well, and France of course.

Thanks Lustrestone, i did wonder if this and the last post are uranium or not, they're don't glow very brightly. Its a shame i can't pop around for a demo, I'd love to :) i have a fair amount of uranium depression glass, some glows brighter than others, so I'm struggling to understand what you mean exactly. I do have a couple of bits whos glow is considerably fainter, which i suspected was something other than uranium. But then i have definite uranium pieces which have varying brightnesses...:-S

Hi Ivo, thank you. I thought it must be :) I'm surprised its not recognised, its so distinctive. I wasn't able to find any alike! Love to see yours if you have a photo :)
