amber glass and chrome cake stand
« on: June 21, 2014, 12:04:45 PM »
Hi - just wondering if anyone can help me ID these cake stands. They were sold to me as depression glass. There was also a matching two tier cake stand and a "dancing lady" cake stand.
Thanks
Kathy

Probably not much help, however it reminds me of Tiara (Indiana Glass Co.) Sandwich which was sold worldwide by the Tiara Hostess Clubs. below is a URL for an eBay auction that show a plate. Looks as if someone simply drilled two plates & reversed one for the base while keeping the top rightside up. You will have to see if it matches up. Tiara started in the early 1970s until 1998. If it is Tiara Sandwich its rather new.

I think the apparent glass base is a reflection; it took me several minutes to work it out

I suspect they're standing on a mirror - it took me a good while to figure that out too.  ???
