Cobalt blue Gulvvase? help please.
« on: July 04, 2014, 08:40:43 AM »
This is a recent find and having picked up a few new modern bits thinking they have some age i found this yesterday, it has no wear and is very light (357 grams). I have looked at a few of these and they all seem to be over 1kg, but there is a 10 inch version weighing 456 grams, i'm wondering if they are being copied or if this is an original that has fallen short glass wise whilst being made?.

It's 10 1/8th inches in height, 3 1/2 inches across the base and the rim is 2 7/8th inches across.

Regards Chris.

Looks fine to me, they do vary in weight. Some are also made with several layers of glass so will weigh more.
