Lovely vases
« on: July 11, 2014, 09:54:19 PM »
Hi, I found a trio of great vases in my garage, forgot I had these.

I cannot find any signature or mark.

Would I simply define them as carnival or depression glass, doesn't really fit either category.

I've seen descriptions of similar finishes as "oil spot" or "oil slick" are either of those recognized terms, or simply an individuals description?

Any idea of maker, age, and nation of origin?

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Bob

They look similar to Royal Brierley studio, give it a google.  Midnight, we have just been discussing it what a coincidence.

The two at the back are certainly Royal Brierley Studio the small one is a bit different, a shape I've not seen, yet, and the patterning and neck are unlike any I've seen before, any chance of some close ups of the smaller one please, ;D

Thanks for the pictures, definitely not Royal Brierley as to who I've no idea, looks like a pontil mark on the base, American studio ware?  ;D
