Frosted pink vase

This little vase is 10 cm high with a polished pontil and the number 44 on the base,this is my second piece with that number on the base?any ideas on this one ,many thanks.

It would possibly have had a stopper, also marked 44?
It does look like a perfume. However, is the number written in gold? It might be the gilder's personal number if that is the case. Gilders did mark things after they'd done the work, quite often. Certainly in ceramics.

Yup,i think your right Sue looks obvious now,must be a perfume,there is gilt around the base and a faded band on the rim.
