Interesting Caithness glitch?
« on: August 07, 2014, 06:48:25 PM »
Here is a photo of a Caithness Dilemma.

A limited edition w8 from 1984, produced in a run of 750. Thank you Thor for the Scotland's Glass site, for the details.

The glitch is it seems to my eye, to be numbered 1019/750. A bit odd.

And before anyone asks, yes, I give permission to anyone, and their sister to use the photo in any way they wish.

Hi Bob

I think it was intended to be 619 but the engraver slipped a bit.

I tried to figure it, sent my mind a few different directions, and rejected each. Didn't cross my mind that it was a broken "6". That makes perfect sense. To quote that great American Homer Simpson, "Doh".
