Victorian lidded 60's? ruby optic vase help please
« on: August 19, 2014, 05:37:21 PM »
Here is a strange combination i picked up today, i think the lid is Victorian 1880's cranberry glass but i'm not sure about the base. The lid is a nice fit but the rim is a different finish to the vase, it looks very 60's the vase but the closest match i have found is a Fenton diamond optic vase. I'm not sure how old the vase is really, it has wear to the base and a lead crystal ring, the lid has gold paint around the handle which scrapes off. they look like they were made for each other an almost identical colour.

The vase measures 4 1/2 inches in height by roughly 5 inches in total width.
