Candlestick - Uranium Cup with Crystal Stem & Base ID Help
« on: September 19, 2014, 07:17:58 PM »
I would appreciate any thoughts on the maker of this candlestick.

It measures 9-7/8" (25.1 cm) tall and the base is 3-7/8" (9.8 cm) square. The uranium cup and the stem have been polished cut in a leafy floral pattern. The actual "flowers" are gray cut. The outer edge of the cup has been decorated with punties. The underside of the base is cut with an 8 point linear star and each "point" is cut leaf shape. From the cuts and they way they line up with nicks to the inner edge of the base I would say it was wheel cut.

Thanks-Dave

Hi Dave, I'm going to move this into the main Glass ID forum as I'm not sure if it is a part of a set or a standalone piece. Either way it will catch more eyes there than here, and if it is from a set we can move it back afterwards.
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd
