ID help : miniature one row concentric with rose & heart canes
« on: September 25, 2014, 10:34:18 PM »
Good day all,

Here's a piece that's been troubling me. It's roughly 1-3/4" diameter & 1-1/4" tall. The canes are embedded in pale lime green ground. One row of pink and blue heart center canes encircle a central cane with a shard rose core. It rests on a flat polished base with a small polished divot from the pontil scar.

Thanks for all the help!
Eric

Could be Pairpoint.

Hi.  I think Pairpoint is well worth exploring further.  They made a very wide range of designs over the years.  I have a Pairpoint blue ground paperweight that is of broadly similar style, but facetted.

Saw that weight on eBay, and was VERY tempted to chase it. Glad it went to a good guy. I did pick off the other one the seller had up; a NEGC scramble.

Resco - it was a gamble I couldn't pass up. I find my self spending a lot of money on the odd or unusual - every now and then I hit a home run!

Thanks Alan and Mildawg. I have to admit that I wasn't thinking Pairpoint but I agree that its a strong possibility. I'll circle back if I find a cane match.
