Topic: Aloys F. Gangkofner 1950s free-blown pieces

Very nice (and quite scarce) additions to my German glass collection:

two jugs by Aloys F. Gangkofner, made during the 1950s at the Lamberts glassworks in Waldsassen.
The purple one with applied white band stands 23 cm tall, the grey and blue one 38 cm.
The latter has two indentations to opposite sides, an uncommon feature. There are two pieces like this in the Gangkofner book...

The smaller one was bought online, and only a few days after I had purchased it, I checked the location of the seller -- it was less than 2 km away from Waldsassen.
I found the tall one a few weeks later in an antiques shop in Germany.

Fascintating pieces, quite different to anything else I have; sort of studio glass from the pre-studio-glass era...

Yes, exciting finds (especially as I own the Gangkofner book only since June).
I stumbled upon the first one by accident, so it was quite a surprise when the second one came my way a few weeks later...

I like their slightly crude, handmade "Waldglas" charme -- with a 1950s-modern twist

When I first saw these pieces in the book I was convinced they were impossible to find -- nice surprise that I was wrong...
