« on: October 05, 2014, 04:27:35 PM »
A little glass picked up from a table top sale this morning, i think it might have some real age and i'm not sure what it's for, a very dirty glass, the sides of the bowl are thin, rough ponitl and wear to the very rim edge. any help welcome.

2 3/4 inches in height 1 1/2 inches across the base.

It's not unlike some much later conical shaped measuring glasses, but in the absence of any graduated indications of capacity, then possibly not.              How about an apothecary or chemists mixing glass??
Date wise not easy  -  doesn't have perhaps the expected looking scar - so perhaps all down to wear and researching similar pieces for comparison and date.

sorry not really of any help.
