I have just bought this uranium bowl, 9½-cm across, which has a slight angle to the rim. The signature is unclear, but appears to be dated Jan (or June) 09 (or 04)

Appears to read

 A_t_f
 VLA_   June 09

Perhaps the sig is too indecipherable, but the glass style should be more helpful. I might try another photo if the one attached is not helpful.

Nice bowl David, something like a black sock stuffed inside may help to highlight the signature.

The shape reminds me of some pieces I saw first at the Edinburgh Art College during the "400 Years of Scotland's Glass Conference", but have since seen them in the Strathearn Gallery, but I'm fairly sure the artist is Phillipa Headley. (or a variant on the spelling).
I also know they did have access to Uranium glass, imported from Japan at the college while the conference was on.

I'll take a better photo of the sig. The glass is rather difficult to focus on.

Sue, I did buy it in Haarlem this afternoon, so it could be Dutch studio glass. Sorry to have missed that slightly important info off!

Hmm. Yes, that could have quite major implications, David. :)
The Dutch are far more advanced than the uk-ish when it come to recognising art glass, and the shops there have some wonderful modern stuff by many contemporary artists from all over, many of whom I have never heard of.

I wonder if the printed part of the sig reads ULAW, for a university (glass) workshop. I don't know if LA could have the obvious meaning.

Thanks all, but...

Anna Torfs?

... I think nails it. Many thanks Robert - very inspiring work on the website, which is very similar in style.

EDIT: Click 'Basics' then 'Caja Caja' (middle icon on top row), virtually the same size as mine, but no uranium green model.
