green glass bottle vase - marked "MMA"

Hi everyone

found this interesting green bottle vase. The inner structure looks like a pineapple section and the outer smooth. A broken off pontil and scratched alongside what looks like MDINA
perhaps i am reading into something thats not there
Never found such a cool item...so interesting

any help i would appreciate

It is not from Mdina but I have no idea where it is from, sorry. Your photo of the signature is out of focus which makes it hard to decipher.

Hi Norman,

I think these and similar pieces were produced for the 'MMA', (Metropolitan Museum of Art), although not sure exactly who produced them or who designed these pieces. There is some further info, contained within some of the below links, which may shed some further light. Hope this helps.
