Hi, No2 P/W was in the same condition as the previous one heavily scratched and bruised but turned out great after restoration on the dome only. 3.125 inches dia and 2.250 inches tall with a rough concave pontil scar. No canes fluoresced on this one.

Hi. They are not common, but not unknown.  As any of you who have seen my 2009 PCA article on Queen's Head canes may recall, there are several different female head silhouettes found in Old English paperweights - sometimes two different versions in the same paperweight. The least common are those found in Bacchus paperweights, which - contrary to what some authors imply - rarely contain Queen's Head canes.  I have seen the 'green' silhouette I refer to in several pieces, and both filled with translucent glass and with white opaque glass - also with a red rather than green surround.  That suggests several different versions were pulled, and so there should be quite a few examples around.  Below is a Richardson paperweight centred by a 'green' silhouette cane (I suspect it is a cut down bottle). I have also seen solid white silhouettes in Richardson bottles.  None of this means Richardson made the silhouettes - they may have acquired them from another maker.
