The Glasshouse Fluer Tookey perfume bottle? help please
« on: November 16, 2014, 05:25:21 PM »
Hello there, i thought this might be Victorian but the colours are not right, i thought Victorian due to the wear on the base, it has a polished pontil and a uranium glass look to the glass although it does not glow under UV. It's not signed and tonight i have stumbled upon something similar in 20th Century British glass Charles Hajdamach page 421.

It's 3 inches in height.

Any help welcome regards Chris.

If googling, try changing Fluer to Fleur.   ;)
Fleur Tookey was one of the early students involved with the Glass House, from the RCA. She was there in 1972.
In the illustration of the time-line, she comes straight after after Dillon Clarke ('71), Annette Meech('71), Jane Bruce ('71), Pauline Solven('69) and Sam Herman ('69).
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

Earth without art is just eh.

Very similar to a signed one I saw a few years ago, from memory I think the stopper was also similar to your example.

Will have to get someone to put the correct spelling in the title, the u has fell off my laptop keyboard, it  drives me nuts, i have to press it super hard to get it to work and i keep finding myself having to fill the u's in all the time.
