Blue diamond optic vase help please.
« on: December 15, 2014, 05:30:58 PM »
I have had a good look for this and the closest i have come to it  is a whitefriars vase dating to the 30's. When i picked this up i thought it was a modern copy but it appears nicely made with a broken unpolished pontil and wear to the edges where the ribbed area on the base is raised, it also has a large domed area on the base where the glass has been pushed up and a nice ring. I have only one other piece of glass that is similar to this blue, the pictures are identical to it's proper colour.

I'm not sure on an age or maker so any help welcome.

9 inches in height, 5 3/4 inches across the rim and 4 1/2 inches across the base.
