A perfume bottle, I believe it should have a teardrop shaped, clear, glass stopper. (any one which fits would be fine, if you can get hold of one.)
Most often found in Earthtones rather than this colourway.
I am clueless about ladies or jockeys. I would assume this must have been something personal somebody asked to be put on it at the time of purchase.

There was a Lady Jockeys Association (now absorbed into the Amatuer Jockeys Association). I wonder if it was a souvenir for something they did?

No way of getting a stopper in looks like the old one snapped off inside? must have prone to breaking this is the 3rd one in as many weeks I have seen with no hole in the top.
Just spotted another which met the same fate.

I have a "fated" (Earthtones) one too. Broken stopper wedged in the top and cut down. I didn't know it wasn't supposed to be like that when I found it.  ::)
