Strathern ??
« on: January 17, 2015, 05:52:51 PM »
Good evening, is this paperweight Strathern ? 2.5inches dia and nearly 2 inches tall. 1,1,2, cartwheel 10 spoke. The base has been ground flat and is highly polished which is foxing me at the moment. Have been on Franks site but not spotted anything.
Many thanks
Malc

Yes, Strathearn regular production 1964 - 1980. The "thick" filigree twists and the cane colours are quite typical.

Bases were often flat and polished and often with a label attached to the base - so that the item sat on the label not the base!!

Best place for info on Strathearn weights is Richard's More's site:
Here's his range of similar "P8 Medium to Small" weights.
